Hi guys,

Just to let you know that I fixed my 3K that was randomly shutting down and rebooting after 15-25mn of use.
I just re-soldered all the weld points on the backside of the PSU card.

Hope it will help ;)

Cheers

All the welded points on the backside of this power supply board.
And more specifically the ones of the connectors.

Yup any of the PIN connectors (called Headers in the electronics world) would be a good idea to re-solder those joints as they are stressed having the connector pushed on and pulled when the cable is connected.

I had a 3000 apart a few months ago that you could see that the pins and solder joints were just touching and no actual solid joint to the soldering.

Another thing was i found the Pad Sensor PC Board had a crack on it that severed 4 traces making it so the pads were unresponsive completely. I couldn't see the crack from the top of the board i have to take it off and look at the bottom to see the traces were broken. All these problems were because the previous owner when shipping the 2 MPC3000's we bought just carelessly put them loosely in a big box with a few pices of foam and all the way from New Jersey to Oregon they smacked into each other! :x :x :x :x . Was stupid because one of them was a Forat custom painted unit and it was scratched on the paint in a few places..... I was pissed! I can't believe how people treat there equipment sometimes!
