Just got the 1000, still reading the manual and whatnot but so far I'm diggin the workflow. Still waiting on some monitors, but for right now I have some 5.1 and monitoring headphones. Sorry for the blurry/darkness.

How do the wood walls help with sound absorption, or do you notice any real difference?

how do you discover the age of this 1200?
i've read on a 1200 faq (here http://music.hyperreal.org/dj/sl1200.html , and here is the service manual http://www.aboutdj.nl/downloads/diverse ... nload.html ) that the serial number don't tell exactly when a 1200 has been assembled, can you give me a link to a web site with that infos?
thanks

Yeah just the regular pads, and I'm pretty sure they don't make the fat pads for the 1000? Oh and I can't really notice a difference with the wooden walls.

Correct, mpc stuff only makes the fat pads for the other models with regular square pads, not the 1k/500 rectangle bs ones.
