Im running an MPC1000. I have some static on some drum samples i got from a record. Anyone know any tips to minimize the static?

For most thats preferable.....
load the sample up in your choice of wav editor and reduce white noise or gain

Lowpass filter. Set it around 90 or so and adjust to taste.
