i've searched all over how to do this...no luck. im on an mpc 1000 btw. well i found a song i want to sample/chop, so i downloaded it, and its in mp3 format. i tried to copy that straight to my mpc, but it just wont show up. so i tried changing the file extension to .wav. it showed up, but when I tried to load it, the mpc said "wrong file!". i know the mpc only reads certain files, so is there a software that you guys use to convert mp3 files so that the mpc can read it??

well there are cases when a format is kind of "hidden" behind another extension. But yes...we know that mp3 isn't = wav and it wont help to rename the extension. so..... :)
