could this happen ????

is there a adapter that i can plug in my instrument wire into and connect it to a regular headphone sized jack so that way i can also sample the sounds i trigger off of my computer?

OR WOULD I STILL HAVE TO SIMPLY HAVE TO GET A ZIP DRIVE AND SOME ZIP DISKS

JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS THOUGH IM TRYING TO MAKE THE DRUMS KICKS HI HATS SNARE RHYTHMS ON MY MPC WHILE THATS PLAYING I WANNA USE THE PIANO I HAVE OR AT LEAST USE IT FOR A MIDI CONTROLLER SO I CAN USE THE KEYS FOR A SYNTH OR STRING CONTROLLER ( I LIKE HOW THEY BOUNCE HAHAH ) AND THEN HAVE ALL THIS RECORD DOWN IN MY LOGIC PRO 9 TO SAVE AND OR RECORD SOMEONE VOICE ONTO AND THEN SAVE AND HAVE A SONG IM NOT SURE IF THIS IS THAT EASY OR EASIER SAID THEN DONE SHOULD I SAY HAHAH

As far as the cable...yes it will work. Guaranteed.

i wanna basically make a beat with my mpc and then have the sound and the the midi info record in my logic pro 9

basiccallly i wanna just use my mpc 2000xl for kicks snares hi hats claps and stuf like that ot basically make a base beat then add all the synths and piano strings using a piano key based keyboard and have this all recorded in my laptop through my logic pro 9

i like the key response on the piano but i love the drums for kicks and stuff like that

maybe have another read of your manual. you don't seem to have a good grasp of how your mpc functions and interacts with other machines.

first up, don't bother recording any midi into your DAW. the mpc is a midi workhorse. do all your midi in the mpc.

1/ make your beat on the mpc.

2/ record your playing of the keyboard as midi in the mpc. (see manual)

3/edit the midi to your liking. (see manual)

3/ track out your beat and keyboard audio into your DAW. (do a search of the forums - this has been explained in detail for every major DAW and all mpcs)

Well, from my interacting with georgie, he's suppose to be going to school to learn this stuff. Man, & tbh, I've never seen anybody struggle with this like I've seen my man struggle with it.

Like I've said before, It helps to read articles and such to help understand the fundamentals & principles, as well as to practice/challenge yourself to those things if any of them seem to pertain to you.

It's not going to happen over night especially if you're so far into being a noob at it that basic connections are a real mystery to you.

And having folks spoon feed you info ain't going to help either. Because you didn't end up figuring it out on your own, your brain isn't going to calculate it the same way it would as if you came up with the solution yourself.

Like what's being suggested, read & keep reading until this stuff starts to sink in. And then, and only then, will you start seeing what this stuff is all about.

Just set one thing up and learn how it works. Master your equipment, learn what it can do, what it does well, and what's difficult to do with it. Then learn the next bit of gear. That will help you work out how to hook it all together, and you'll get better results because you're using the right tool for the right thing

This is the best wisdom any newb can be given...learn your gear first, if you can't HOOK UP the MACHINES, do you realize the level of research and work it takes to RUN them PROPERLY... its like saying you don't know where to pump the gas into a car or find the ignition...I how are you gonna expect to drive it
