Flash ROM Option Mystery

I've been looking for this mysterious option for a little bit now...anyone have it? Where did you get it? For how much?

They had them at american musical at the begining of the year. that was the only place i seen them but as of late they dont have them no more. I was gona get one myself. Some people say they are not worth it but i feel if you plan to keep you mpc for long time anything is worth it to have.

try sweetwater. I think they are on clearance. Still pretty expensive though.

If you use your mpc 250 days a year, and load 2 programs each time it will save you 743 minutes a year. that's 12 hours a year

take those 12 hours and work at burgerking, and you'll have paid for the flashrom (well almost). It's not that expensive really

In addition to whatever time saving you get, it does turn your MPC in a 40 Meg machine.

How is it possible? When you know 32Mo are Ram & Flashrom is ROM !!! Also 2KXL comes out whith 2 MO and when you upgrade with 32Mo it doesn't come to 34Mo ... How could it comes to 40Mo?
I guest you'll say 32Mo in Ram plus 8Mo Rom...

I suspect it's in the manual.

mpc 3000 what you say is right. we all know the mpc comes with 2mb of sample ram and when you rully load it with 32 mb the 2mb get cancel. You now have 32 mb of room to load in sounds to use in the mpc. well if you added the 8mb flash rom youll have 8 more mb that can keep sounds once the mpc is turn off so in all and all you have 40 mb because if you just put the flash rom in and the mpc was fully loaded and you turn it on and started loading sounds you have 40mb to load them to 8mb from the flash rom and 32mb from the static ram(i think thats what its called).
