Just wondering how people go around sampling shit from Movies / Films?
I know a couple of ways myself like; micing the TV speakers or recording to tape. Love doin things the dirty way 8)

But how do yous do it?
especialy when you have the movie on your computer?
Do you extract the Audio? what software would you recomend? and so on...

Thanks for posting..

The times I've sampled from movies on my computer, I used a program called audio hijack. Its mac only so I don't know about PC options.

I was wondering if there's any such thing as a virtual tapedeck, where you just hit record and it records any audio playing...

/ oh ya! I'm on a windows PC.. no mac.
but thanks for reply :)

To my knowledge, nothing like Audio Hijack exists on the Windows side.

Yep, +1, quote slightly modified. The easiest, most flexible, and most direct way in my opinion.

Soundforge works perfectly for this.

Cue up what you want to sample and hit record in Soundforge. Job done.
