Why do my memory card files keep becoming unorganized?

So ill put samples in different folders of my 4gb memory card all organized and whatnot. Then the next time I turn it on the files will be scattered and all over the place. Its really frustrating when i neatly put everything together then it gets ruined.

Also just experienced a new problem. Went to open up a drum program I've made and used several times, and when pressing load I got the response from my mpc saying "Unknown file format!!"


any help?

The mpc 500 can only handle a 2gb card

i had 8 gb, sandisk. it worked just fine... make sure you have the latest fw update

things will be scattered if you save to the ROOT of the CF card. open the folders and save your stuff inside them

Update to the latest OS first if you haven't done that yet - just in case.
