JJ OS??????????????????

I am new to everything so keep that in mind if my question is retarded. I just purchased a used MPC1000 and dude said it has JJ OS in it but I am not sure. I purchased another one a month ago but returned it due to damage. I remember that when I would turn it on it would say JJ OS ver 4.99. The one that I just got last week does not say JJ OS when I boot it up. It says New OS ver 4.55. Was the dude that sold it to me lying? Its not the end of the world if he was. I got a sweet deal on this one with great pads (one reason why I returned the last one) and I figure I can just pay to get JJ OS if I have to but I need to know what I already have first.

Sounds like a very old jjos, the akai os doesn't have version numbers that high

No. Update it to version 4.99.

Better yet, contact JJ and upgrade to OS2XL.
