moog lil phatty

Hey everyone. I have a moogerfooger lowpass filter and am considering buying a moog lil phatty. Is the filter on the lil phatty the same as the moogerfooger?

well yes and no. they are both ladder filters. i have owed both. the fooger is more comprehensive. drive controls cv ins out ect. you know you have one. when i had the phatty i would still use the fooger two filters add some magic. well when i went broke i sold the phatty no way would i get rid of my foogers. if you have some foogers dont sleep on modular stuff because thats what you already have there. check out synthsizers.com they make classic moog synth moduals. when i got the cash i wont but the phatty i will buy this stuff much more flexible very good for the loot.

If your only reason for looking at the Phatty is the filter then by all means get a Fooger.
However if you look at the Phatty as an analog synth you will easily see the advantages of the Phatty.

I have the lil phatty. As far as analog synths go, it's a beast. A legend in it's own right
