This reminds me of the first day of work in our new office. Every desk had a coaster, made from the centres of 12s, It was like a massacre.
I went round the whole office, morbidly checking them all - it was mostly stuff i would pass on but there were enough centres of records there that would have been worth more in one piece...

And those bowls look shit.

You wouldn't catch me writing rhymes in those note-books. I think a photo of my favorite producer with a sampler in the midst of a pile of records would have turned me on for a notebook cover.

The bowls work pretty good in the bathroom for toothbrushes and razors, etc. if they're formed right, they even got nice little holders on the edge and you got random storage in the center. the hole isn't a big deal. they aint good for everything, but they work.

That bird feeder is hilarious. And cheap.

Are we recycling vinyl in America yet? My homey told me in many other countries they just melt it all down and use that to press more wax. I think that is awesome. I've seen BOXES of records in the trash too many times...I'd love to just drop that shit off somewhere and know it's going back into the system.

yeah **** etsy... the website where people will buy any garbage you can come up with...

but this is a whole other thing. I can understand ruined records that are too scratched to be used... on the entire album.... so they get melted into a new thing. but who wants a scratched plant pot?

It used to be done to death by unscrupulous types. Recycled records are horrible for making new records. Ever had one of those roots reggae bootlegs from NYC or anything on TRAX records? Horrible surface noise, thin sound, and even skipping from bits of old label melted in the groove. It sounds like a good idea, but it's not.
