mpc 3000 blacklight lights only when i hit the pads

Hello,yesterday i purchased an akai mpc 3000,everything worked well until a strange issue appeard,the backlight went off,but it lights when i hit the pads.As far as i understand this might be a problem with a conection but i dont know which connections should i check!

Open her up and carefully check all the connectors you have access to.

Sometimes it can really be that simple, as it was with my S-950 'faulty' floppy drive.

Test it before you close her up again.

hello Clint and thx for the reply,i ve checked the connections,but nothing happend.Also i noticed that it doesnt matter if i hit the pads or any other part of the mpc

Can you still see any text on the screen, is it useable?

The screen is 100% vieable and clean,i will open the screen today to see if everything is conected well

After hours of researching i finally found the reason of my problem.It seems like there is a loose conection between the backlight Inverter and the board of the Psu.When i press the backlight inverter the light turns on.Tomorrow i will remove the psu and see whats going on!
