I know you all get upset when someone asks a question that has been covered but I haven't been able to get the info I need from the search. I need to know how to erase stuff from my card. I cant do anything now without getting a insufficient memory flash. I loaded way too much from my laptop. I have tried to right click and delete it when connected thru usb and no luck. I also would like to know how to get rid of the part of a sample that I dont want to use when I am chopping and trimming. I am only on my 7th day of using a MPC 1000 so I don't know much. Thank you.

You need more memory. Your card is not memory. Its storage. There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum that has the RAM specs you need. If you get it from ebay you can get it for $20 or less.

That's in the manual homie. But I'm in a good mood today... Highlight the part you want to keep (by setting the start and end points) and press F6, scroll until you see DISCARD. Or you could highlight the part you want to delete (by setting the start and end points) and press F6, scroll until you see DELETE.

No doubt. Welcome to the MPC. Now... as part of your initiation, go here: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/ and prepare to come up off $123.

Hey thanks man, I appreciate your help. As far as not having enough memory, I have the 128. I thought that was as much as I could get?

One more thing. How can I check how much memory I have left?
