Quantize current Track Events to Events on another Track
Explanation:
Say I've banged out a kick, snare and hat live, then I spend a while tweaking the position of each event to get a nice groove.
I now have my base groove and for all intents and purposes my 'user quantize'.
Now I add bass, synth, fx, extra snare, extra kick Tracks etc, etc.
I now spend ages tweaking these new Tracks to fit with my 'user quantize' of my original kick, snare, hats Track (I do split this eventually into separate tracks btw).
I go back and forth between my 'user groove/user quantize Track' and the new tracks to find out the time position of my base groove so I can shift the events in my new Tracks accordingly. Obv I don't always position the events exactly the same because it depends on the sample, envelope settings and particular sound I want, but I always start from the same position as my groove if the events are near the same point in time.
If there was a function to quantize new tracks with another Track that would be awesome sauce and save me tons of time.
Also, if events are a certain distance away from the quantize position of the 'user groove', say more than 000.00.22, then they are not affected by the 'quantize to another Track' function and stay in place; maybe a Strength function.
