you'll probably make things worse if you try using a screwdriver on it
if you don't wanna do it yourself you might be able to take it to an electronics shop and let them do it for you (probably for a small fee)
thanks. I just used a bigger phillips style drill bit and went at it with the lowest torque setting. Now the lcd is easy to work on. I upgraded the backlight with the version that Matt is selling on ebay. Now i can work with my 60 II and eps in the dark. it seems like whoever serviced my 60II went in at a high torque and didn't hear the click.
