I just noticed that I have a USB port on the front of my 4000...Can I load all my drums on a thumb drive and load from that port or is that just for AKSys transfers?

See, you said it yourself. The back port is to connect to a host computer. The front is for a usb keyboard or thumb drive like you said.

Are you on some kind of mission to willfully refuse to read the MPC4000 manual?!?

There about 7346 different functions on the MPC4000.

They are all in the manual.

If you don't read it, you will miss about 3698 of them

Come on Yum Yum, it isn't funny anymore.

And you lot, quit the spoonfeeding, it's like a disease that spreads across the Internet.

If a brother can't figure out what he's got or how to use it, perhaps he doesn't deserve it...or need it.

Well, why is it that when someone else asks a question, they are spoonfed too?

I thought I earned my stripes already by listening to endless banter, even had to create another account because my original one got hacked...

I know how to make beats on my machine...Im not limited in that aspect, I just didnt know that the 4000 had a USB port in the front, I didnt pay attention, Im still stuck on the machine

Check out my tracks and let me know what you think about them...

What are you saying or implying? Are you implying that Im black? How would you know that I was black? Black people might be ignorant, but Im not ignorant, its sad to say but this is my only source of information in regards to this machine that I have...

I thought this was supposed to be a fun and inviting experience on the internet...

Creating another account gave you a golden opportunity to make a fresh start here, but you didn't take it.

We are all 'brother's' here in the sense that we look out for each other and dish out advice, banter and insults.

That implies nothing.

You yourself decided to give this thread the title "Dumb Question" ...

And guess where dumb questions usually come from?

I suggest you stick to posting in the 'Getting Started' forum until...forever and don't go near 'Off Topic'
