He played the record first, then the sample. Look how much Low End was lost when it was sampled with the MPC 5000. Thats why I don't buy that theory "you get out, what you put in." At least not with these new MPCs.
You get out, what you put in... ever occured to you, the sample is played by the 5000
PITCHED UP by a couple of semitones? It's only natural some of the low frequency harmonics will get quieter if you pitch up a sample... on ANY sampler.
Way to go on judging the sonic capabilities of a device by a youtube vid, recorded by the mic of a camera, comparing 2 differently pitched versions of a sample.
I own a 5K, I can test it all day, what I put in, I get out of it.
