PCI Soundcard with breakout box?

I've got the Terratec EWS 88MT Soundcard with breakout box connected to my computer via PCI.....its got everything I need on my soundcard for my MPC.....8 ins/outs and MIDI in/out...

Is there any way that I can connect this to a computer without a PCI slot?......like USB or anything??....

I spent an arm and a leg on this soundcard a few years ago......please dont tell me i'm gonna have to snuff it out of my set up

No, won't work. So do you have a machine that lacks a pci slot or something? Got a new laptop now? Or maybe you can build another daw with a mobo that has pci slots and install it into that.

got a new laptop yeh.....my computer was gonna croak at any point so it needed to be done...

assuming that this is the end of my days with the Terratec set up.......is there a USB interface that will match the spec of that soundcard?

I need Midi and a bit of multi tracking

So does your new laptop sport not only usb ports but firewire as well?

that thing dont even got firewire port, looks like new usb interface is your only option at this point

personally I cant recommend any usb interfaces as I never had interest in them...

I just I noticed you're from cardiff I got some family staying in south wales.I went to visit back in '09 cool area

England opened up borders to certain countries :wink:

..I flew there back in march of 09, at first I thought I accidentally boarded plane to india..then next day I broke down in fewer...cold as fuk over there during winter season...I heard some good things about their football team
