Hey folks, I know this forum is about MPC's, but I've seen in searching some people have posted questions about the S-series samplers here, and I hope someone can help me.
I've actually had a lot of questions about using my S3000XL, but I've mentioned to figure things out just via searching and reading the manual, but I'm stuck on this one. It goes like this. I'm interested in non-pitched samples, I'm using an MPD-16 as a controller. I figured out how to assign a single sample to each pad by setting the span of notes in my keygroups, and I was wondering how to avoid getting the samples pitched. I read in the manual that if you set the pitch to constant they'll all be at C3, so I go back and set the original pitch in the Edit Sample page to C3. Here's my problem, the samples, although they're all at the same pitch, play back much higher than they should. I checked in the global pages, the pitch is indeed C3, I just don't understand whats going on here. Hopefully I was concise enough, if anyone needs me to clarify please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
