mpc 5000 static from outputs

With my Mpc 5000 bought 2 years ago has that phantom static at all levels. its just quieter when i turn the interface down. the sound is coming from the stereo output right/left. the static even comes from the 8 analog outs just by hooking up the TrS cables and no sound sent through them. When i unplug the cables from the MPC the static and crackling sounds r gone. It has to be a curcuit board issue, because just hooking up the cables to the Mpc starts the static. Oh it also gets recorded on anything u send ur tracks to ie. protools and logic 9. its such a pain i dont even use the MPC anymore. it sucks i love the thing. I also have the MPC 5000 powered through a monster power pack which filters power line harmonics ( 60 hz static etc.) Has anyone fixed it?

So you are saying if you hook the MP to an amp, mixer of headphones you hear the static?
If not how do you know it's not your interface or computer?

I had the same feelling when I plug all outs to my mixer. At first I was so confused and want to sell it. But then I start to mess with settings and I fix it by adjusting Master level settings and correct setting of inputs on mix. I think it is still there, but on very low level now. Yeah and then I need to change level of all programs and samples ...

I was smart to hook up the mpc directly to my hs-80s still the hum is there. I know about some sounds on the pads having static on them it's not that. I even isolated the mpc from the other hardware to lessen there potential interference, no dice. My last resort is to buy a expensive furman noise filter outlet system in hopes to clean up what sounds like ground noice even at low volumes. I love my mpc and I'm going to work on it to let others know the fix to this problem. Oh by the way no other hardware has this issue.

Damn, mine is too quiet. I need some noise. Try a SP1200, that is noisy.

yea sp 1200 had one of them years ago when i was young. didnt really know what it was. HEHE

It might be a good idea to get it checked out. That doesnt sound normal. I had two SP's

before, one had louder hiss and noise than the other.

FiIXED IT. the 60hz hum is gone. How u asked. Well the MPC 5000 was picking up the hum from a groung loop that is made when hooking up multiple electric things. the hum was being sent threw the output audio wires to the interface which amplified it into the computer recording. The fix. The power cord of the MPC has three prongs with the ground prong (the rounded one) is picking up all the EMI or hum. I just took a extention cord, removed the ground prong from it, plugged the MPC cord into it and (Drum Roll Please) the ground hum is gone, gone,gone. Such a smart guy. No not really! Oh once that was cleared, i found a second hum but very low considering the last problem, coming from the USB cable on the MPC going into the interface. Ill work on that next and let u all know how that went
