Thank you for your interest! We've been very busy lately. The VGA controller was experiencing some communications issues. We rewrote the code and are waiting on a new PCB (pictured below) to come in so we can test it. Also, our LCD manufacturer is working on our new displays. That's about it. We won't have a new update until next week.
Sorry about the VGA display promise...it just wasn't working correctly (it was slow) and we didn't feel comfortable about putting out incomplete information.
As we draw closer to the release date, I am not going to post as much. It doesn't mean we are working any less on the project. It takes about 10 days to turn out a new PCB. An image of the CAD file of the PCB is shown below. The PCB is the same size as the final version, although this one is a "breadboard" that allows us to play with the display, talk to the VGA module and verify all operation. The final version won't have the contrast adjustment (MPC will control), nor all the large test points, the big ethernet jack or reset button.
