midi note LOOP bug in mpc2500_xl217.osx:

1.load up sequence created prior to v2
2.some notes look like this in Seq Edit: 001:01.00 PAD :A03(LOOP) OFF D: 4 V:127
3.when seq plays notes play as if loop is on. loop is not on in trim mode.

not sure what the (LOOP) means but note is not suppose to loop, one shot kick drum, worked fine prior to v2. cant seem to turn (LOOP) off, its off in trim, wasnt recorded with loop on (atleast not that im aware), seems to be something converted? not all notes are like that, seems sporadic. need to earse note and add back to work correctly.

****edit
reverted to v XL 2.08 and problem does not exist

sample memory bug in mpc2500_xl217.osx:

when you fill up memory, cannot delete samples to make room.

1.load up a bunch of samples until memory is full
2.try to delete sample to load differant sample, cannot delete sample
3.try to truncate sample to make room, truncate works, but samples attempted to delete in step 2 are now deleted along with several others (that were not suppose to be deleted).

also
1.load up samples until memory is full
2.random samples get dropped from sample list

solution???
need warning that memory cannot load more sample? or if loading a long sample, cut off loading sample appropriately(auto shorten sample) but leave a buffer so system does not act funny.

This seems like a bug - when you hold one of the Bank letters (A,B,C,D) and hit a pad, it repeats until you hit it again. This interferes with swapping between banks while playing pads - in case you accidentally hit a pad while pressing the new bank.

Anybody know a fix for this?

thanks Le Rat..

I read up on it, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much discussion about this feature.. Do you guys know if it is possible to turn this off?
If JJ read these - could you make it an on/off feature? maybe if you hold down the PAD BANK for 5 seconds then this feature turns off or something.. it keeps getting in the way of playing live..

Thank you Mr. Jenuis!!

There is no fix at the moment. I suggest using a footswitch to avoid pressing the pad bank and a pad at the same time.

Except the video I didn't find the explanation link on JJ's website but you should check if it does the same behavior with pad bank C or D.

JJOS 3.12, MPC1000 crashes:

recording a 2 measure midi/drum track, it loops and goes on in overdub mode. I press stop and then really quick F1 button, boom, the MPC crashes. If I press stop and press F1 after 2, 3 sec. then it's ok.

If you can re-create that bug, definitely report it to JJ.

I just tried a few times to make a video, it won't crash. I'm not sure why, maybe I have to use the same Program or Sequence.... hmm... but I don't remember which one it was

On JJOS1 : you could have the same program on two different tracks, set the program to mono and have the events from track1 cut the events from track 2.

On JJOS2XL : does not work

It essential to me since I play live and have two versions of a chop sequence on two different tracks, using track mute to go from one to another. this messes everything up since the last chop continues to play when I switch tracks (to chops are eared at the same time)

Am I missing something or is it a bug ?
