Sampling Ideas

Who are some of your old school artists to sample? I would like to trade some ideas if thats alright with the moderators of this site, I keep getting my posts locked but I just want to get some new ideas, I will give up one of my golden gems for a golden gem, alright so here we go:

IF someone flips Blue Magic, I would like to hear the song...I want to see where someone could manipulate their samples differently then me...Im burnt out on Blue Magic but I know some of you guys are beasts when it comes to sampling...

try to sample new things... its more out there bro. I personally dont sample any popular music at all... anymore.

Whatever happened to finding your own samples, or is that too old school...

True, but Ive ran through everyone...I sample off of napster...napster has unlimited songs on there...Im just trying to see what I overlooked and if anyone has any favorite artist they like to sample...Whatever happened to the MPC brotherhood, we are all producers, why even own a MPC if you cant get any ideas to sample from.

ok looks like your into sampling soul artists. i would suggest you buy a turntable and start collecting records if your really into sampling. you can find things that you cant find online. heres some soul bands ive found over the years that i enjoy.

new birth
the intruders
blood sweat & tears
isaac hayes
black and white affair

thats all i can think of off the top. i would suggest collecting records.

great suggestion...I need a turntable...Good looks on that info...Im gonna try to see whats good with those bands...try Bloodstone.

For me I enjoy listening to anything CTI records.

yea cti is dope. check out flying dutchmen too most records i find on that label are similar to cti. lots of latin/jazz/funk

Who is CTI? Never heard of them.
