a new addition to my studio environment

Well I have been waiting for my asr88 to come in the mail. I got sick of waiting and I bought a 1976 Rhodes 88 key. That thing sounds so nice plus when I get my asr88 I can just set it right on top of the rhodes no need for a stand. I about threw out my back carrying that big old piano into my studio room today. Anyone else have a rhodes that they love or hate?

I'm not big on the rhodes, it's great but the action is weirdly mushy. I've always prefered wurli's and I just found one cheap. Very inspiring instruments to play regardless.

well the action is mush because the keyboard is so old and the grommets inside wear out after thirty years. I just ordered a bunch of parts for ine so it should play great. Parts are so cheap, I only have to put like $60-$100 into it to get it in new condition.

Where did you find the parts at?The tines on mine is about shot.I need to do a little repair job on mine to get a tighter action back into it.And yeah,be careful movin' that thing around,shit is mad heavy.I got mine running through a kaoss pad to my mixer just to and some extra sound to it.
