Coz think uve persuaded me, atleast 4 now. Apple shop is jst round corner so went in 2day tempted 2 pur chase, spoke 2 one of the apple bods, i said bout the rumors of the upgrade. He said if i buy n the new one comes out within 2 weeks (but he said they would do a month) i can exchange 4 new.

Well that would b a balls ache once ive installed everything. So.. Im gona wait until 1st may n if its not out then i will jst buy, but then have another month with option 2 exchange.

In the meantime can organise my mpc n get it ready 4 may.

Gives me time 2 look into my options re tracking out

Come on clint. Act like you can connect dots. If you make a digital audio connection between two audio devices, then you will pass an audio signal. But what are you recording from?

Answer: A sequencer/sampler, playing audio and/or MIDI signals to a timeline/grid.

And what are you recording to, pray tell?

Answer: A DAW. In other words a sequencer/recorder recording audio and/or MIDI signals to a timeline/grid.

How do you ensure that tracks generated by the source sequencer/sampler are accurately captured by the destination sequencer/recorder and aligned with the timeline/grid?

Answer: By synchronizing the machines. Using either MIDI Clock synchronization, MIDI Timecode synchronization, or MIDI Machine Control. Or, if your name is Clint, perhaps you just press both play buttons at the same time...

I suggest you pick on somebody you can win against. That person isn't me. See my avatar for further assistance. By the way, I didn't bring up digital clocking because the MPC will automatically assume the role of wordclock master and the Mac will assume the role of wordclock slave when connected as you suggest. You should know that, perhaps?
