HELP!!!!!!!!!! 8-outs mpc2000xl

i just installed...or so i thought...
my 8 outs on my mpc 2000xl....
i can not get any sound to come out....
the manual has no reference to the installation of the 8-outs...

and there was only one port on the cpu to fit the prong...

should i hear a sound coming out of the 8-outs same as i would the two stereo outs during play back....cause if so...i have serious screwed something up....

if it fits where u put in the 8outs should be fine, load up a program hit shift+mixer, indiv menu or f2, and hit the pad u want to send and pick what channel 1-8 u want for the sound, if the sound is stereo it might say 1/2 instead of just 1 and the sound will come out of channels 1 and 2 combined, what i did was make all my samples mono instead by going to the trim screen and then going to edit. 1

hey where did you buy that 8 outs, and how much did it run you, how can i use this with my vs 880 8 track recorder. the recorder only has 4 inputs.

i am from N.C. (usa)

i got the outs at the guitar center....for $300

you can additionally use the digital out of the mpc that makes a total of 6 inputs on your vs880. just make shure to set sync to digi in 1 on the vs in the system settings.

Make sure the connector is pressed in fully - most people dont push it in far enough (careful that you dont snap the motherboard)

something just told me to open it back up and double-check...
i am really nervous when it comes to messing with this mpc (internally)
because it was a gift...
and if I was to mess something up....
I WOULD GO POSTAL!!!!!!!!!! :evil: :x :x

and on top of all of this...
i have the flu....in which is making me a little delusional. :cry:
and i am trying to learn how to use these 8-outs before i go to a studio this afternoon....
gotta record some tracks for a friend and get them to him ASAPPPPP!
