preamps

Im workin with a stanton T.62 tutrntable which dosent have a built in preamp, im hooking up to my 2500 but its not line level. how do i know what type/power of preamp i need to make it line level? i know i need a phono RIAA preamp i just dont want to buy one with to much or to little of whatever i need. Thanks yall

They run from $19 and up. A basic, no frills preamp will do you fine for now. OR buy a used or inexpensive DJ mixer, which will have phono pre-amps in it already.

HAHA thanks krush you seem to be the one with the answers i need... and right before you wrote that i found exactly what you said on Amazon.com of all places. NOW.... im trying to figure out if my 500.v3 cartridge is a moving coil or a moving magnent because thanks to amazon i read the preamp type is also based on if my cartridge is a MM or MC. im sorry i need to be spoon feed but ive looked in my turntables manual and the internet and have come up short
