I just got My first MPC*.... but let me start from the beginning... I based everything off my PC... Thats right NOT a Mac.. A PC... You see I started off with Reason 3* And a MIDI Keyboard Then I Upgraded to Reason 5*... I liked Reason 5* for many reasons however I always Had what I would call a "crush" on the KONG Drum Machine*.. Wich in my eyes was just a digital MPC*.. How ever The MIDI Keybord just did not have the feel of a actual padded drum machine.... So i started my hunt, I went through every MPD Controler from the 18 to the 32... they were ok but not what i was looking for when spending that kind of money.... After Buying the MPD 32 was only a couple Hundred Dollars away from Native Insturments Maschine*... so i purchased it... Much Better than any MPD in my opinion. However after Hooking it up to My DAW Wich was Cubase 4* at the time I needed sound so i bought a Focusrite Saffire 6* Audio Interface With a Pair Of KRK Rokit 8* and a Perception 120 AKG* Microphone... I Had nothing but problems, The pair of KRK RP 8* would always produce this static sound that sounded like it was coming from my Computer.... I went through everything to try to things to work but it wouldnt stop, so I started looking all over the internet and calling places an ppl for help... it pretty much came down to my PC was Fuked up, so I said fuk it and took everything (except the NI Maschine* kuz they wouldnt take it for some stupid reason) back to Guitar Center.. so when I walk in I notice this MPC 2500 by the 1000s that wasnt there be fore goin for $999.99 + Tax So I start to check it out, granteed I am only a Few Hundred away from after returning all the stuff in that I had purchased... I see that its used But is good condition.. so I test the knobs, Inputs and outputs.... an of course the Pads. All work Very well, I am pleased...
So I talked them down to $900.00 out the door.... Now I can eliminate the problem with the PC by not using it for music at all..... I go Home And take apart the MPC Hit the Case with a wet rag blow everything off with canned air you know... so I take off the Ram cover and guess what there is a Kingston 256mb Card In the slot WoW I was Suprised....
So anyway my question is did I get a good deal... I have a 30 day return policy....
