How do you connect a stereo mixer to record into a digi002r? Do you need anything? somebody please help.

Is it a digio2 rack system or what?

What type of mixer? Like a DJ mixer or a studio mixer?
What type of outputs does it have? RCA? Tele?

mah bad yall... dis is wut i'm plannin to do. Wut I got rite now is some turntables, an MPC1000, just got a ASR-10. I'm about to get a Digi002 rack to record all of it into. But I'm thinkin bout gettin a Spirit by Soundcraft RW5633 M12 mixer. But my question is... is dat a possible set-up? Havin dat da MPC1000, ASR-10 connected to da mixer... then hav da mixer connected to pro tools to record into? is there anything u need to connect the 2? or if u can connect it... how do u connect it?

It is a studio mixer. It has Digital outputs. So i kno i can connect the mixer to my Mac, but my question is... how do u intergrate it, so dat i can record into pro tools.

Well, since the 002 has so many inputs, and you don't have THAT many instruments (yet?), you might want to wait with the mixer and just get a patchbay for now.

That mixer looks good though, except for the fact that all connections are on top of the mixer, which means that they will fill up with dust after awhile. But other than that it looks good!

dont connect your gear to the mixer and then out of the mixer to the digi 002 unless your tring to eq stuff on the way in. what i mean is you could add more noise to the recording by doing it that way. this is what i suggest and this is what i do. connect all your stereo outs from your gear to your mixer. all your extra outs connect those right to the digi 002 rack ins. take the digi oo2 main out and connect that to your mixer tape or cd in jack.
