everyone should see this not just 4000 users. unfortunatly i dont have all the envelopes that the 4000 does. ive just recently started using this technique about a year or so ago, especially w single notes instead of chords. i would have saved up the extra cash and bought a 4000 had i known this before i got the xl. save a step from the computer.

Wow, that really opened up a door for me. I need videos like this. There's hardly any 4000 videos on youtube. Finally someone goes in depth and breaks sh!t down to the science. Great tutorial.

Thanks Lord Toranaga. 8)

But I have to give props to professorquack being the first one to upload such a video.

I wonder if he`s a member of the forums or not.

Wow! That was tremendously helpful. I never knew you could assign so much behavior to the filters. It's like I got a brand new machine! The Z portion of the 4K is deep! And this whole time I was crying that I needed an emax 1 for the cool filters, but these sound great!

Yeah, many users like McSmooth, Feline, Reveal, Lord T, myself and others often talked about the program matrix and key group programs are the synth controls of the 4k in the past in a lot of post before. This video is a first on the 4k's program matrix and it's a excellent example. I hope the author keeps posting videos on the 4k.

yeah that video opened my eyes too, I saved that video to my MPC How To list on YouTube, thats in the archives, once I get the courage to sample with the MPC 4000 instead of importing into Recycle from Pro Tools, then I know how to get in depth. I loved how Quack didnt even use his regular voice, LOL, Quack is on the forums I believe, Quack seems familiar like Ive spoke with him before.

Just an FYI

I talked to professorquack last week via youtube and asked him to post more videos on youtube......cause of the demand for them. Especially for stuff past just reading the manual. HE said he would try to do a couple more.....I'll keep y'all updated.....

How is the MPC5000 more advenced (according to Akai) vs the 4000? I've never used the 4000 before, but it really seems like the MPC I need to have...mainly for the polyphony, but the sampling features look dope! Has anyone gone from 2500JJ-4000, or used a JJ MPC? I'd like to hear your experiences. What features from the 4000 did you miss?
