Well it use to depend on where you are, what you want, and how much cash ya got. Lets see for instance, I'm in a big country town, in the middle of nowhere, and i want the latest mad jams from NewYork. I would have to wait a few months and pay premium before it was sold out in a day. but now we have internet so shop round. Records are heavy so postage can be a hefty (pun intended) price. What you buying OP and how much 8)
like i will pay $30 for some second hand records in fair condition, and my record store guy knows it so pulls it out and im sold, cos he knows i dig that rare underground shit.

Most of the answers to your questions are already in these threads, man. The internet is a mysterious place - but a simple Google search should get the job done for you - you'd be surprised.

This thread was started on March 17th, 2011 (not even a month ago). It actually touches on two of the questions you posted. It's also currently located just a few threads down from yours--so I don't know how you could have missed it. :?

Your "Record Store Owners.." question:
thx wrote:don't tell anything at the guy in the record shop
and don't show too much enthusiasm when finding a good record. he could raise the price up...
be wise

Your "Pricing for Your Digs???" question:
thx wrote:you have to know the colors of record labels, catalog numbers and sh1t like that to avoid swindles
books like the goldmine record price guide (for US pressings) or the record collector price guide (for UK pressings) could be very useful.

These are only the most recent - there's a whole lot more up here for you already. Just do a little digging.

It's true zach.

Too many pointless threads, c'mon.
