Logic Pro or Pro Tools 9?

I havent searched too extensively to see if this question has been asked, so if it has been asked I apologize.

Basically i have been recording full rap songs in garageband (just dragging the beat into garageband and then rapping over it), and I have been recording my mpc beats (after I have recorded them) right into my interface to audacity where I make it an mp3.

So in a nutshell I am looking for the best program to do threethings -

1) give me better control and edit options for when I record my songs (vocals) to protools.

2) Best way to track out mpc and have full control of all of the tracks.

3) Have the most/best sounds for my midi keyboard to in turn record into my mpc sequences.

My current equipment:
presonus audiobox interface (2 inputs)
mpc 500
microkorg
midi keyboard
Krk rokit 5's

Pro Tools 9 for what you want, editing, etc. Logic if you wanted to make beats within the software.

either logic or reaper + freeware vsts. you absolutely do not need protools.

Could you explain why I wouldnt need pro tools? isnt it great for tracking out and editing?

Feller, while Protools may be great for tracking and editing, several other programs exist that are equally good and maybe even greater. Reaper is one of them - especially for the ease of trying it. you could download Reaper, install Reaper, and be multitracking in Reaper in under 10 minutes (with 7 minutes to spare if you already know what you are doing)

I think you've got yourself nice equipments. What more do you need? I don't even have a pair of monitor speakers.
(Maybe getting an expensive vocal mic would be more satisfying investment?)

Go Pro Tools 9 and call it a day, youll be happy you did in the end, and you can use any interface with Pro Tools 9.

Pro Tools is industry standard.

Pro Tools 9...No joke...Alot of people use Logic but Pro Tools is pretty much industry standard, youre gonna find Pro Tools in most professional studio's, although they do teach Logic when you go to school.

99% of the studios I have been in from cali to chicago have ProTools. 90% of the Ft's I track are Protools files sent in from across the U.S ..
