Is there any way to set all of your channels to mono without having to individually change each channel to L in the mixer screen?

For example - playing live there is often only one DI for the drum machine, or the system is in mono anyway, so they only take one channel, but then anything panned right is more quiet, while everything on the left is more loud...

i imagine it depends on the mpc...but on the XL, no.

However, it's really not as bad as 'having to individually change each channel'...you can go into the mixer and select all 16 pads per bank at once and adjust them all. That means that if you've got 64 sounds spread across all pads in one program, you only need to make the change 4 times.

Honestly, it's just a separate component of performance, making your studio produced tracks translate to a not-always-optimal live setting. So you really need to be prepared for stuff like this. At one point, I was creating both mono and stereo versions of all my tracks. A little forethought goes a long way.

i still don't know which mpc you are using, so i'm not sure exactly what to tell you.

in my xl there is a button right there on the mixer screen and you hit it once and it selects all 16 pads from the current bank.

probably in the user manual for your mpc?
