yeah i got that book, it is kinda of layman but i try to keep and open mind rather then assuming i know everything.

and i did find it useful and it help me refocuse my porduction methods, so i would recomend it.

(by the way i aint a newbie ive been making beats since 1999)

yeah its cool. i was feelin it. i got it when i first got my mpc and there was a few good insights. u gotta take it htough with a grain of salt. He has some ish in there i dont agree with, so dont take all the hints as gospel. But overall for a new user its a good read. Tutors ish is real good if ur tryin to learn the techniquel aspects of the mpc. Like how to use it and how to build drum patterns. Sai'd's is more into the theroys and practice shi* and other info outside of the mpc, like how to get a publishing company.

I HAVE IT AND I MUST SAY ITS A GREAT READ...IT IS SORTA FOR NEWBIES BUT HE EXPLAINS ALOT ABOUT CONTRACTS/INCORPORATION/ROYALTIES AND HOW NOT TO GET JERKED OUT OF YOUR MONEY...TO ME THATS WORTH WAY MORE THAN 20 BUCKS

Just copped it! I have had my MPC 2000xl for about 6-7 months and have barely touched it.........I'm mad at myself because I know what I love and want to do but I get busy or procrastinate to touch it.......pretty much now I wanna **** it and make some children

It`s a great buy with even tips for the experienced mpc users. I highly recommend it. It has samples that you train with on the tutorials.

Yo! thematterlp & Blue Haze thanks for the advice. I wasn't leary on buying it but money is kind of tight right now to spend. So i'm always investigating before I make a buy.

Thematterlp I got the same studio equipment except my EPS is a classic not the EPS 16. It's still grimey though. :lol:

I rebuilt a Win 98 machine over the weekend to talk to the EPS. It kind of cuts down on the production time. There's a cool website that as hsit load of apps but they only run in Win 95 or Win98 but you can sample to your PC convert the .wav to .efe using Awave then use EPS Disk to write the file to the floppy using command line and boom load that baby into your EPS.

I'm still learning everything and the basics, I procrastinate like a motherf*cker! I need to get some more sound for the EPS and practice sampling and choppin for drums......just sad I am broke, I need some recording stuff

Yo! Ya got to excuse my post cause i'm drunk right now makin this beat but go to this site they got mad sounds for the EPS. Also chopin on the EPS is hard yo! I pretty much use recycle then Awave to convert the .wav files to .efe so I can load them into the EPS. Damn this beat is bangin in my headphones.
