I'm getting my MPC5000 in a couple of days now
and i was just wondering if there is anything i need to
buy or am i ready to make beats.
My gear:
MPC5000
M-Audio Fast Track
Behringer Xenyx 802
Alesis Point Seven (Inactive monitors that i plug in to an amplifier, so in the end the cables are RCA)
Midi-To-USB Interface.
Mac Pro and PC.
I want to just chop my samples on the computer, put them in the mpc, make the beat and export it right back in to the computer (logic) for mixing.
Am i ready or do i need to buy something else?
A friend of mine told me that i need to get RCA to 4 inc adapters or something like that? Any ideas?
Thanks.
Sounds to me like, the guy's got more money than witts..
For **** sake you can make music with just the MPC on it's own, Since you went and bought the biggest MPC out there, you don't even really need to sample shit cos it's got everything in there, it's got a synth, it comes loaded with **** drum kits. If you want to use samples and don't got records, or even a **** clue how to use a TT, just use the **** built in CD drive to sample from CDs.
Concentrate on ONE piece of gear first. If you hook ur MP up to the mixer, the interface, the computer/'s (since u got a mac AAAAAND a **** PC),and all that other stuff, ur just gonna be confused. ur 5000 has got enough hardware in itself, for a start
Learn that first, maybe ur not even gonna need all that shit for ur purpose.
IMO u could've just got a **** midi controler since ur doin just about everything in ur DAW anyway.
You must be one rich bastard if yo can spend over 2000 bucks before even thinking about what ur gonna do with all that **** equipment
