2000xl online auction tripping me out....

can anyone explain this? i'm on ebay a bit, i'm just wondering what is actually taking place with this auction:

or is this just simple money laundering?

IMHO I'd steer clear of that auction. Anytime someone can't show an actual picture for an item they are trying to sell it's usually a hoax.

you can read the q and a section on that auction page, he says that he doesn't know how that figure got there and his price is really just $500. (to seller, show real photos man)

Look at the feedback of the bidders. The story is there. That unit didn't bid high enough, so someone made that super high bid that was more that likely on behalf of the seller to prevent selling it.

You can pull your item up to 12 hours prior to the ending of the auction. It hit $3,200 with more than 2 days left on the auction. I've thought of people doing something of the sort but 3 grand??? even if you just wanted to get 600, then why not bid on your own item for like 590 or something and hope someone bumps you at the last minute, rather than bid 6 times the item's worth. idk just my thoughts

Personally i think it could be either a laundering scheme, a scam or the guy who is auctioning the mpc didn't like the prices being around $335 and got a friend or a second account to up it to a ridiculous price so he could maintain his rating as well as his equipment.
