have someone tried them on his mpc 1000?
does it worth the price for the sensitivity you get with them?

They're a lot easier on the fingers and react much better than the stock pads.
To me, they're worth it entirely. The MPC1000 really feels like more of an instrument than it ever has over the past 6-7 years. 8)

I should have known you'd have them on fast distortedTekno!

I got them too and I have to agree. totally worth the money, much more sensative and responsive, just great all around. I Highly recommend them.

I didn't like that they say MPC STUFF on them, but I got over it quick.

they say MPC-stuff on the visible pad? i support MPC-stuff, but that's a little bold.

they caught my interest, but I noticed one of the corner pads has mpcstuff engraved in it, until they fix that it's a pass for me :o

I'm getting the pad upgrade kit soon so was thinking of getting these at the same time. Just seen this thread and that logo on the pad has put me off them now.

That is lame as f*ck
can't you file it off? maybe sand paper or a skilfull scalpel?
By dtaa pla muk Tue Apr 19, 2011 5:43 pm
you could slice it off with a razor. it'll leave a small bump and/or a little shiny part...

Improved sensitivity should be way more important than a crappy little logo.

Damn, that's crazy about the logo on the pad, this must be something new they're doing because i got my gray fatpads for my 2500 a couple of months ago and they're just plain ol' gray fatpads, no logo. I didn't really notice improved sensitivity like some of you did but the sensitivity of my pads was fine in the first place without the fatpads. I got the pads just because I thought my fingers would appreciate the extra cushion and they did, it was worth it. That sucks about the logo though, that was not a smart move on the part of mpc stuff.

That logo must be new. I bought my fat pads 2 months ago and they don't have that corny logo. Thank god.

****... i should have grabbed a set when I first saw them then... now we are stuck with that publicity shit. I would probably cop it if it were significantly cheaper though...

Whats up MPC headz. We usually dont chime in much on the forums, but figured I would give a little bit of insight on the pads and the logo. I am going to just post this and leave it be. This is not a commercial posting, just an FYI about the pads.

The pads are incredible. They feel great and the sensitivity is spot on what it should have originally been from Akai, but never was.

As for the logo. We totally understand that some of you dont want a logo on the pads, which is understandable. I assure you on a feel and visual aspect you will probably never notice. We have had 2 issues with customers installing them and using them for days then noticing they were installed upside down because they finally noticed the logo and realized it was upside down. Its hardly even able to be felt by your fingers and almost invisible because its so small and thin.

I know some of you say its lame or stupid that we put our logo on the pads, again which is understandable. But you are right, we are trying to market our company as we want to continue to offer new and innovative products for the MPCs. If we don't get our name out there as much as possible then we can't expand. Many of you "in the know" MPC heads would say that everyone knows of our company, but you would be amazed just as much as I am that many actually don't, which is why we try to get our name out as much as we can. Just like any brand out there, the logos tell you what your working with and create brand imaging, it's just too bad that being MPCstuff isn't as cool or as lucrative as being Nike or Apple.

FYI for some questions asked. ONLY the MPC1000 and 500 pads have the logo on the actual pad surface and they were never offered without it. All the other thick pads for the other MPCs DON'T have the logos on the pad surface due to orientation changes of the pads from MPC to MPD (the could be upside down on certain units) I dont believe we will ever offer the pads without the logo but I will think it over and consider making a small batch without, but I don't believe it will be happening anytime soon.

All in all, please understand our reasoning for the logo and also realize it's VERY minor; the only reason you can see it in the picture at all is because we tried to showcase it (thinking it was cool, which apparently it's not). If someone that has them can speak up I think they would agree that the logo is a MINOR issue.

Here is a picture of the pads (THEY DO HAVE LOGOS ON THEM) pretty hard to see em.

Understood from marketing point of view and those who are disoriented however I feel this issue could have been avoided imo if for example mpcstuff offered two sets of mpc1000 fat pads ...couldn't there be a clean set of pads without the logo. And for those who wanna save a buck or two slightly cheaper logo featured set..this way consumer has the ability to choose and sort of gives incentive for both parties..just a thought
