i own a 500 and will be using Reason with it. What would you recommend as an entry level (upto £100/$160??) studio mixer for a small home set up??

Apologies in advance if i'm vague, can supply more info (intentions etc.) if you think it would help

f@ck me it sounds like an ebay ad, sorry

why do you need a mixer with just 500?, I think you'd be better of with audio/midi interface and using inbox EQ's

i got a midi interface today (tascam us-122l) and using the tutorial from these guys hooked it all up but, i can get the sounds from Reason thru my stereo but not the sounds from the mpc output so figured i need them both hooked upto a mixer to hear both outputs. before i had the 500 output to the stereo and it worked fine but on the back of the stereo i only have 1 input, with the 500 into this i can't hear Reason and vice versa

if there's any other way i can do this without shelling out again please lemme know. thanks

i just thought, should i connect the output on mpc to input on the interface (reading that back it sounds like it definately does) and this will play all thru the stereo?

only reason i ask is, if it isn't, i don't wanna order the cable

I opted for going thru the input but got a mixer just in case. If going thru the input's cool i can just get a refund on the mixer. If monitoring means being able to adjust the levels of each input/output then it does. i do know what latency means, just about, and it all seems cool for now.

thanks for ya advice (and quotes konc3pt)

Does anyone in here have any experience with FireWire mixers?

I need some form of interface for my new MacBook Pro, and I could do with a new studio mixer too, so I'm thinking of killing 2 birds with one stone.
