MPC60 midi problem.Help Please?

and yes I did check my settings on FL my piano midi its working good

And I guess I was wrong asking this question since its not possible to have an straight up answer from somebody that knows how to use the mpc. but that just the way it is

in the fl studio midi menu, did you enable the midi device the mpc is connected to?

choosing the right one is half of it... but maybe you didn't notice the little tick box that you need to make yellow under that... in case you already haven't done so.

yes it says Generic Controller (Active) and when y press play or stop on the mpc it plays or stop on FL

What I haven't being able to find id the right settings on the mpc to make the pads sound on FL

I never tried doing this but I just read your post, then clicked reply, then looked over at the 60 with os 2.12 and in under 2 minutes I figured it out.


1) push the midi button
2) middle section says "assign outgoing drums to notes" then change the drum data sent out to drum notes. under that you will have the pad choices (hi-hat through to DR16) ... however right under that choose your midi channel and then assign the pads to the notes you want them to send out.


if you have the computer set up to receive midi data like you said this will work. I just confirmed by runnin a midi cable to a rack sampler and it works.

Firs of all Thank you, you are the first one of all to help me with this.now, I messed around for a while with the settings then did what you told me and OMG!! it worked!!! until i turned the mpc off....

I turned on, did what you and nothing. So i started to mess around with the settings again. and nothing yet. But.... If i pressed the OTHER button, then <Record 16 Chs> and then <Proceed> and then it takes me to another screen, when i am there im able to play the pads and get sounds out of FL whether is a sample a drum or a vst the problem is that when i play a pad the key is wayyyy to low on the piano scale i mean. i dont know if you can understand what im saying... but when i get out of this screen like if i press Main Screen,. then FL stops receiving Midi signals, except for the stop, play, and play start button.. Could it be something out of the MIDI settings? I know its not from FL or any other DAW. ughh its getting frustrated.. and i really appreciate your help

on the main screen of the mpc... choose the track you want to be resposible for FL. lets say that is track 1... now push right 2 times and you will see something like "ch 16 drums" well turn the dial down to ch 1 synth or what ever channel you are using.

on fl studio you need to click the instrument you wish to control.. in the pattern window you can tell which one is selected because there is a green little light thing that shows which one is selected.


as for changing the notes, in that midi window you should be able to change the notes your pads are sending out. make them higher... scroll it up until you reach c5 which is the standard root not on FL studio.

one thing you could do is keep pushing the pad you are changing while turning the dial.
