How would your ultimate home studio look like?

I'm moving end of this month too. I got a basement like yours in my new place, carpeted and with drop ceiling and even a small room ready to be isolated. Moving lots of gear sucks! This will be my fourth studio move and I have more gear than ever. On the topics of racks I want to build a nice desk in my new place with racks on either side of the computer monitors for more hands on gear like synths and comps.

there's a mod kit for the mpc 1000 that lets you put a laptop drive in it
can't be safe for touring, but i stay at home, and i've wanted a nice 120 gig drive in the b1tch for years !
not so bad using a 16 gig memory card, though, so i've largely abandoned that dream.

but it would still be intensely goddamn swank.


i always want more synths. stupid ones, good ones, modulars, whatever !

and more fx. stunningly esoteric and strange fx

Here was my old setup and this was pretty Ultimate to me, Im going to buy another MPC, probably a 60 or another 3000 if I get my chips up...
