seems like you can change the default setting for names of sampled sounds. am i right? for example, when i save a sampled sound in my 2000xl now...it names it sound1, or sound2, etc...unless i change the name of course. can it be changed so that everytime i save a sound, it's called...let's say...new1, new2, etc.?

I don't think so........ but don't you want to give your samples recognisable names as soon as you've made them rather than just have them as a row of numbers?

When you're sampling just give the first sample a name - like for example new1 - and everything that you sample after that will be named new(insert number).

This will of course reset when you shut down the machine.
