MPK, MPD Pads as Midi-CC ?

Hello,

i have searched the internet all ready but i think there is no solution.

Maybe someone here can help me out.

I bought a MPK 49. I have edited everything to my liking but i dont need the Drum Pads.

So i was trying to find a way to use it as Controls. But the Vyzex Editor only allows to switch between Midi Note and Program Change.

That would be a huge fail for me. Because as i understood Midi it should be able to send CC from the pads but its just not an option in the Editor.

Am I doing something wrong?

Do your homework before you buy gear.

It's in the manual under...EDITING THE PADS (surprise?).

Pads sending CC is not an option, note number or program change only.

You'll probably want knobs or sliders for continuous CC control messages, using pads wouldn't be ideal.

I came across this through a google search for exactly the same problem to be solved (mpd32 in my case).

You can change note to CC via 3rd party convertors, such as MidiPipe (osx), the steps using MidiPipe are outlined in the following post: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php ... 2#p1425442

So yes you can do it.
