Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi guys,
I know the answer will be no, but why not ask..

Would it be technically possible/impossible to SOMEHOW modify the 4000's display connection in order to get the picture onto a larger lcd monitor/Tv ?? perhaps via VGA? (just like the Roland MV)

Any technical hardware experts out there can confirm this??
Appreciate

This is usually where most ideas hit the brakes lol.

Get a bashed up 4000 and reverse engineer it.

Get hold of the service manual and find the specifications of the screen and the connector.

Its probably something really simple for a techie, but like I said it's all about the cash.

Hehe.. thanks for the replys every1 :>

Sounds like abit too much time/$$ will be involved in doing this im guessing.

The problem is that my neck is getting really sore after using the 4000 for a while, coz im bending it in order to see the screen.. So yeh i think will just get in touch with a cabinet-maker next week to make me a custom and adjustable/tiltable stand..

But it would be kinda kool having everything up on a big screen one day, so if anybody finds out how easy/difficult it really is then please come back and let us all know ehh?

Thanks again.

That is either using sysex messages via a pc or just aksys, he's talking about the actual displaystraight out by fitting a VGA port
