Does anyone know how i turn automatic overdub off? Im having a problem, im trying to record a sample by pressing the pad, but half way through the sample, the overdub button turns on and starts playing the first sample and another. How do i turn automatic over dub off? Or if i cant do that, how do i increase the amount i can record before it comes on? Thanks.

Overdubbing usually occurs on the second pass of recording, so maybe your sample is carrying over and you need to change the BPM or adjust the length of your sequence to match the sample length.

Hold Sequence, hit Params and do it in the menu...

I doubt your sample is going to match up perfectly to 2,3,4 or however many bars you want to change the length to. You're better off keeping your sequences at however bars long they are and adjusting the BPM on the MPC until the sample fits into that amount of bars.
