maschine is defo the new mpc

no diss to the mpc but i feel in the computer age of of hip hop production mashine seems to be the new standard.

now u got nottz, illmind on this joint.


peeps who r skeptical trust the wisdom of producers that are better then u like nottz and illmind if it was wack they would not be **** with it.

??? Soooo....how about beatkangs then? Will anybody think it'll become a household standard if a couple of producers start using it? :twisted:

From a lot of previous discussions, maschine still has some limitations compared to an mpc.

The main one imo is it's host dependent.

I heard dr dre uses fat from clubbed baby seals so he can lubricate the pads to remove some friction which help when programming faster hihats. Available in 5 litre buckets buy buy buy

I've never bought a piece of gear because "such and such" producers use it. Of course they all used maschine, its a maschine sponsored event, Not hating on the machine, but I've used one several times, and NOTHING will replace or compare to my MPC, its a personnel preference, like women, I might like brunettes with an ass, you may prefer blondes with tits....to each their own, but it is def. not the "standard"

Until maschine can sequence my multiple midi synths, analogue drum machines and synths (through midi-cv), akai s950, casio fz-1 AND have JJOS (constantly being updated for the people!) I aint givin it a second thought. I use my PC as a tape recorder. Maschine can kiss my mpc.

but for real, dont get hyped cause some producer got a maschine, they might have gotten paid to use it for a beat and talk about how they use it :idea:

but all that aside, i do kinda wana try one, i was looking how it chopped stuff today. looks pretty intuitive.

it would be an instant buy right now if it could work standalone; but sadly thats not the case.

hell, i would even pay 1k for it if they had a hybrid computer/standalone version that used compact flash cards to store samples on.
and you could transfer files via usb like on the newer mpcs.

aint hyped off that ive been rocking maschine for a minute but lately im seeing more and more big names throw support behind it.

but cats may or may not have got paid to use an mpc for a beat and talk about how they use it. its less likely cos its been around longer and its histroy in the game, but its unfair to assume that everyone talking about maschine has been paid to use it.
