STOP event in Step Edit?

greetings

I'm trying to figure out how to make the MPC1000 stop at the end of a sequence while in overdub mode. I have a 2 bar sequence, LOOP turned off, I want to record the MAIN OUT into an audio track and have the MPC stop at the end of the second bar. Is there a way to make the MPC do that?

running JJOS 3.12

I've looked into STEP EDIT but I don't think there is such a thing as a stop event, or?

I think I know how I would do it with OS2XL, but I haven't upgraded yet.

dont know much bout the 1000 but I guess you could simply create a song with your sequence playing only one time and start the song (song mode) instead the sequence itself.
