sorry if my question sounds dumb but i can't seem to find the option to turn to local off for secuencing the mpc1000 in logic , when recording with the mpc pads to the computer i get the flanging sound of midi being played from the mpc pads and from midi coming from logic

HA! I found a workaround for this problem:

1) Set Multitimbrality ON
2) Asign the Program you want to play to Track 2
3) Select Track 1 and set Midi Out to A or B
4) In Logic: Set Midi-Chanel of the Output, that goes into your MPC to 2

-> Badabing!

just hit the pads on Track 1 with no Pgm selected, but the Pgm on Track 2 will sound, but without the Midi-Feedback!
