Hello

like most mpc1k users, my pads are slowly but surely becoming extremely unresponsive. I want to make it so that the 16 pads on the maschine trigger the pads on the 1000. Nothing more nothing less. Ive tried looking in the manual and fiddling with settings for both the maschine and the 1k with little luck.

If anyone has experience with either piece of gear and can help me out i would be VERY appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

What u Need to do is connect the midi out of the Maschine to one of the midi in of your mpc.
Then you go to Maschines software, press shift+browse, scroll down to midiout. Then load.
Midi channel 1 will then be selected. From there i think u should be able to trigger from your MPC.

Its actually good that u asked about this in this thread or i wouldnt try it. It can actually be pretty usefull.

One problem though.. You can only trigger one bank from your MPC. And in order do trigger the right pad you need to configureate the pads either on your mpc or your maschine. Im gnna try that later.

I was trying that and it wasnt working. I understand that i have to set the pads up on the maschine to trigger the right midi notes on the mpc. I guess its some of the minor details that i am messing up on, like setting the midi settings to internal clock, ect ect...

Let me know when u give it a shot, maybe even throw up a video off your camera phone or somethin? Any further help you can give is appreciated. Thansk man!

Actually i got it to work. With my genious Novation remote SL 61 keyboard i can actually trigger sounds through keys, Maschine Pads or MPC pads. i can now choose between recording midi on Maschine or record midi on my MPC without switching midi cables.

What i have is:
Novation Remote SL 61 keyboard connected with usb and midi out to Mpc's midi inn. (so its like haveing 2 midi inns)
Maschines Midi out to Mpc's midi inn.
My Motif xs rack's midi inn connected to Midi out of my mpc.
And a Roland Td9 soundmodule connected to another midi out of my mpc

All i have to do is to make the Maschine's software to trigger midi with the mpc.

Whats good now is that i can connect more soundmodules to my mpc and still record the midi on Maschine and then record the audio.

I dont have much time right now, working alot etc. I will try to make a video for u so u can see how it is set up.
I think i will be able to make a video in 1 week or two if you remind me.

I actually wouldn't mind some backlit pads to work with.

I'd like to see this in action...
