to come back on the price drop subject...i think they made so much money with sellin their 128 megs ram memory for more than 100$ that they can now show that they can be a bit less scandalous!

And dropping... Bought mine in Stockholm, Sweden for 3 995 SEK or about £387. And the store has loads.

Hi, btw, I'm new here, sort of took a dive into the whole MPC thing because of the price drop. I haven't really worked with sampler hardware before (and not much sampler software either), modular synths are what I use mostly in the studio.

The MPC 1000 looks promising, I'll try to piece together a live set from modular synth sounds, maybe a few long backing tracks from my laptop and the rest sequenced or played with the pads on the MPC.
