OS1 and OS2 no more supported by JJ

Did anybody notice?

Sale of the password of only OS1 or OS2 has not been carried out now.
Moreover, support of OS1 and OS2 was ended.
Therefore, even if a bug occurs, it does not fix.

Presumably OS1 and OS2 are stable enough for him to drop support. It's all about XL now anyway.

No mention of dropping support on the MPC1000 JJ OS page, though.

OS2XL is JJ's legacy.He has shaped this O.S. beyond anything anyone ever thought possible.He could stop now and AKAI would still never be able to catch up. I hope he reads the forum to know how much he is appreciated.

JJ and/or his website admin actually do read these forums. A few years ago, one of the forum members and I played a practical joke on everyone, telling them that JJ is adding the Pong game. We posted up a fake screen shot. Someone who writes gear related blogs must have read the posts and thought it was real too, since he used the fake pics. Then only a few days later, JJ actually added his own version of Pong, and took us all by surprise. Since then, there's been many things added to the OS, which I'm sure they read here in the forums.

I don't remember when (maybe at the time os2xl was released) but it became compulsory for 2K5 users to buy the latest JJ OS even if they wanted to use OS1 or OS2, hence the unsupported earlier versions.

On the contrary I think 1k users can still buy OS1 or OS2.

i've yet to try osxl but it scares me when he stops taking orders for os1 and 2. he doesn't have to update them anymore but keep them available. it's just more money for him and its great for everyone. now i'm gunna have to hold on to my 1k. when i get a 2500 i guess i'll just have xl

I'm not a 2K5 user but I think there are available (cf above link). Nevertheless you still have to pay the amount of money for OS-XL. So that doesn't really make sense to downgrade to unsupported versions.

any of you guys have both the OS2 and OS2XL installed on your MPC1000 and use the OS2 once in a while? If so, for what purpose?

bit off-top: I'm messing around with OS2XL now, the version before the looper was added, and in some menus the wording is kinda messed up, it's like JJ used an online translator or something, I wonder why he does not get help from someone who can translate the menus properly. If I knew Japanese I'd do it for free.

Can you show a screen shot of the messed up wording?I have never encountered anything of this nature in any of JJ's OS. The manual on the other hand LOL

I can't find that window now. I need to have a camera handy for such occasions.

If you find a bug and report it in any of the versions, just report it. There's a good chance he'll fix it if he can. It still hapens once in a great while.
